Associate Clinical Professor, Family / Community and Preventive Medicine | Physician, Educator | Director, Rural Health Professions Program
Dr. Cartsonis attended the University of Arizona, Tucson, where he earned his medical degree and developed his interest in family and community medicine. During this time, he also met his wife — a fellow UA alumna and Family Physician in the Valley. Dr. Cartsonis has worked in many different settings, including the federally funded clinics Avondale Family Health Center and Health Care for the Homeless. He currently cares for patients at the Estrella Women’s Jail in Phoenix.
