Since retiring from industry in 2018 after over 36 years, Bill has been dedicated to teaching cybersecurity engineering courses in the Systems & Industrial Engineering (SIE) Department and Management Information Systems (MIS) courses at the Eller College of Management. He volunteers as a Design Day Judge and ENG 498 panelist in the College of Engineering. Additionally, he serves as a Professional Admissions Interviewer, MIS/BCOM Case Competition Panelist/Judge for Eller College of Management, and was an Eller Health Mentor for the Master in Healthcare Management program. Throughout his career, Bill has held various roles, including: Manager of Engineering at Sysmex America, Health IT Systems division, overseeing teams of systems engineers, interface engineers, and software developers. His team designed clinical laboratory automation systems, middleware solutions, and hematology, urinalysis, and flow cytometry technology worldwide. Software Consultant for Avnet Enterprise Solutions, collaborating with major independent software vendors (ISVs) to offer enterprise software solutions across multiple domains, including RDBMS, cybersecurity, data backup, disaster recovery, antivirus, and network management. Application Engineer for Kingway Material Handling Systems, focusing on distribution center automation systems. Interface Engineer at Baxter Healthcare, where he developed, implemented, and supported interfaces for pharmacy automation systems within Baxter’s Productivity Systems Division. Technical Advisor, Instructor, and Course/Curriculum Developer for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. Instructional Developer for TSM Inc. Electronic Warfare Instructor, Curriculum Developer, and Technician for the U.S. Navy.
