Thomas L. Koch is the dean of the University of Arizona’s College of Optical Sciences, a professor of Optical Sciences, and professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Previously he held the Smith Endowed Chair of Director, Center for Optical Technologies at Lehigh University. Prior to his academic roles, he spent many years in research at Bell Laboratories, and held R&D Vice President positions at SDL, Lucent Technologies, and Agere Systems where he was responsible for both research as well as optical and IC technology platform development in support of broad product portfolios.
