Oscar Parra is the Associate Director for Business and Research Development/Operations for the UA Center for Disparities in Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism, as well as the affiliaetd Administrator for the Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine. As Associate Director, Oscar oversees all business and reseach development and operations including, financial matters, budget development and management, resource allocation, sustainabiltiy, grants, center operations and personnel, and all center research initiatives. As Co-Investigator on all center research initiatives, he oversees all aspects of the centers research initiatives on behalf of the Center Director principal investigator) including study design, protocol development, budgets, operations/ workflows, SOP, as well as personnel and community partnershiagreements, as well as publications. As affiliated Administrator for Endocrinology, Oscar works with Divsion Chief to oversee the budget, allocate resources, and assist with regulatory matters such as Human Subects/Federal Adherence and reporitng.
