Kara Haberstock Tanoue is a research specialist and team geographer for the Community Research Evaluation and Development Team. She has a background in geographic information systems GIS) and geospatial analysis, specializing in developing measures of access to food systems. Her research interests include the use of GIS and geospatial modeling to guide community resource allocation for public health and development. When not in the lab, Kara enjoys hiking, cycling, and backyard gardening in the Tucson area with her husband, Nathan, and their dog, Watson.
