Dr. Hongyue Jin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering and Craig M. Berge Faculty Fellow (2024-2027). Her research focuses on techno-economic analysis, life cycle assessment, and optimization of technologies, processes, and supply chains towards sustainability. Her research has been applied to clean energy products and processes including value recovery of critical materials such as rare earth elements, lithium, and cobalt, and sustainable construction materials for a low carbon footprint. She is Deputy of Crosscutting Research Focus Area at Critical Materials Innovation (CMI) Hub funded by the US Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office. She is the Founder and co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clean Technologies & Recycling and an Associate Editor in the Environment Area of the INFORMS Journal of Operations Research.
