Dr. Goodwin has had a distinguished career in medicine. He comes to the College of Medicine – Phoenix from the Phoenix VA Health Care, where he practiced interventional radiology. Prior to his tenure with the Phoenix VA, Dr. Goodwin served as professor and chief of radiology, as well as chairman of the board at Wayne State, Detroit Medical Center and Reynolds’ Radiology in Detroit, Michigan. He also served as a professor and chief of vascular and interventional radiology at the University of California, Los Angeles for nine years. In 2007, he became the Hasso Brothers’ professor and chairman of radiological sciences, as well as chief of imaging services at the University of California Irvine. And from July 2017 to Sept. 2019, Dr. Goodwin was the president and chief executive officer of Banner University Medical Group. He graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowshiin interventional radiology at UCLA.
