This article discusses strategies in utilizing a combined promotora-led community-based participatory research CBPR) approach with a crossover research design in a real world setting. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the implementation of CBPR within a crossover design in order to reach the study’s goal of Latinas gaining culturally relevant health-based knowledge and using this knowledge to make informed health care decisions with their providers.
