Dr. Magnotti completed his Medical Degree and general surgery residency at the former University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Following that, he pursued a fellowshiin surgical critical care at the Presley Regional Trauma Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Throughout his training and career, Dr. Magnotti received the 2018 Arthur M. Shipley Award of the Southern Surgical Association, the Golden Apple Teaching Award at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and the Resident Education and Training Award at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Magnotti holds research interests in optimizing trauma care and improving patient outcomes. He has published many peer reviewed journal articles included in the Journal of Surgical Research, the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, the Journal of Trauma: Injury, Infection, and Critical Care, and the Journal of Burn Care Research. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care. He is a member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Surgical Infection Society, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Harwell Wilson Surgical Society, and the Southern Surgical Association. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Outside of medicine, Dr. Magnotti enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
