Dr. Janda has been associated with the University of Arizona since 2005, when he became a researcher within the Microarray Customer Service, at the University of Arizona's BIO5 Institute, leading and managing the microarray genomics core service and studying gene expression using microarrays and real-time PCR in various agriculturally important crops and animals. In 2010, he became a researcher in the Division of Dermatology, studying melanoma skin cancer using in vitro models in relation to mitochondrial mutations. From 2013 to 2016, when he joined the Division of Nephrology, he was a senior researcher at the UA Cancer Center.
