Elizabeth Castrejón was born in El Paso, TX. She received her bachelor’s in Criminology, Psychology, and Spanish at New Mexico State University. She worked as a GED Instructor in the HEP program for farm workers and she was a Field Organizer in the south area for the organization of New Mexico Dream Team. She graduated with a master's degree in Spanish Linguistics at New Mexico State University and worked as a Spanish instructor in the Second Language and Heritage program for two years. She is currently working as a Spanish Instructor in the Spanish Portuguese department at the University of Arizona.
